Baby Shower

Today I went to a baby shower for Pregnancy Resources and learned of a great resource  for ladies who become pregnant and don't have to face it alone.  Pregnancy Resources is a place for hope, healing and peace.  I donated some burp cloths that I made and have decided to continue to donate them throughout the year.

Mock Fashion Show Outfits

The young ladies seemed to have a fun time modeling my fashions for the show... thanks girls
We had the bathing suit (everything you need to bath on the jacket), seersucker (sundress with lollipops), mini skirt (pic of mini on it), capri pants and crop top, evening dress and ball gown.   Great job ladies!

Sock Bouquet

Sock bouquet that I gave away to the ladies that entered in our mock fashion show at Relay.

Made a skirt for Marie but she won't wear it she says it has too many butterflies.  Well that's until she was told that Daddie picked out the material :)   I think I need to buy some other material to make more.  It was fun for my beginner sewing experience.

Made this candy arrangement for a sweet sixteen zebra party.  I used zebra material to make rose.
I made these a few weeks ago but forgot to put them on :)  they are pocket tissue covers.  I'm going to use them as gifts for my friends who have birthday's coming up...sssshhhh don't tell them.

Elastic Bands

So last night I had a lesson in elastic bands.  There are three types knit, braided and woven.
Knit elastic is in expensive and popular  comes in a wide variety of tensions and thickness with a huge range of colors and sizes.
Braided elastic is made of polyester and rubber it's used for waistbands, sleeves, necklines and leg bands.   It is shrink resistant and stays unaffected by chlorine and salt water.
Woven elastic is in a crosswise and parallel ribbed pattern creating a window-pane effect used for suspenders, belts and keeps waistbands flat.
Now hopefully I can remember that next time I am helping a customer with elastic. :)  Off to make some ham and cheese muffin for my morning meeting.  :)

Pretend Apple Pies

I found a pretend apple pie with instructions on a blog but don't remember which one.  I printed the instructions but lost them so I kinda did my own thing :).  Joey my 2yr old made the one on the right and Marie, 6 the one on the left.

I'm still looking for more unique apple pie crafts to make and decorate the house with for September.  If you have any ideas let me know. :)

Where are the apples?

Finished a plain scarf sending them up to Maine for a ministry.   Last night at work I saw this beautiful hand knitted dress, should have taken a pic of it, it was for a baby.  I told the woman that made them to make sure she stops by with other things that she made.  I just might have to ask her for lessons.  I love to see other peoples creations.

Had to demo the Cricut Cake today.  I started out booming but then I got my sea legs and it wasn't that bad.  I decided that I should just treat work as a place to share me crafting interest, have fun and let God do the rest.  Couldn't leave today without buying some fabric ;)

I have decided to decorate the house with apples for September so I'm on a hunt to find apple decorations. I'm also working on a apple page for my site www.dandreas-giftbasketandfloral.com if you want to check out my findings ;)
